Privacy Policy

Last updated: 06 Jul 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Unclip (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal data you provide when you visit or use our website www.unclip.in and related services (the “Service”). We are committed to handling your personal data transparently and responsibly. Questions? Email hello@unclip.in.

2. Scope & Legal Basis

This policy applies to visitors and users of Unclip. If you are in India, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and applicable rules may apply; we follow its principles of purpose limitation, data minimization, and user rights. Users in other jurisdictions (e.g. EU/UK) may have additional rights under local law such as the GDPR.

3. What Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information when you use our Service:

a. Information you give us

  • Name, email address, phone number and location you enter when you sign up or complete your profile.
  • Billing details when you purchase a plan. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never store your full card details.
  • Support messages and anything you send us.

b. Information we collect automatically

  • Usage data: pages/features used, session length, device and browser metadata, IP address, and diagnostic/error logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see “Cookies” below).
  • Aggregated analytics metrics.

c. Content & activity

  • Items you save or download, and the prompts and messages you send to Unclip AI, which we process to provide and improve the Service (and, for AI, to generate a reply).

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service and your daily content.
  • Create and manage your account and process subscription payments.
  • Send transactional emails (welcome, renewal, payment, password reset) and support responses.
  • Personalize your experience and power features like Unclip AI.
  • Analyze usage, measure performance, and detect fraud or abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We only collect what is necessary and rely on lawful bases such as consent, contract performance, and legitimate interests where permitted.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand site usage. You can manage cookies through your browser. Third-party services may also set cookies governed by their own policies.

6. Third-Party Services & Processors

We rely on trusted third parties to run the Service, who process data on our behalf as sub-processors: Razorpay (payments), cloud storage & CDN for content delivery, Resend (transactional email), Google (sign-in), and an AI provider that powers Unclip AI. We require appropriate security and confidentiality from these providers. Review their privacy policies for details on their practices.

7. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may disclose personal data:

  • To service providers who perform services for us (payments, hosting, analytics, email).
  • To comply with laws, legal process, or government requests.
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of Unclip, our users, or others.
  • In connection with a business transaction (sale, merger, acquisition), with notice as required by law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. The one exception is set out in the next section, and it only ever applies if you switch it on yourself.

8. Brand introductions, only if you ask for them

You can choose to let us pass your details to brands and agencies looking for creators. It is off unless you turn it on, and it is the only circumstance in which your details reach another company for their own use:

  • It is opt-in. A new account has it switched off, and nothing you do while buying a plan turns it on. You will not find it buried in a signup step.
  • Turn it on or off yourself, any time, under Brand introductions on your profile. There is no way for us to switch it on for you.
  • What is shared is exactly: your name, email address, phone number, city, the niches you post about, and your public social handles with their follower counts. Nothing else — not your payment details, not what you have downloaded, not anything you have sent Unclip AI.
  • We record when you agreed and to which version of this wording. If we ever want to share more than the list above, that wording changes and we ask you again rather than relying on the answer you gave to a different question.
  • Switching it off stops it for everything sent afterwards. We cannot recall a file already with a company, so if you want them to delete what they have, tell us and we will pass the request on and give you their contact so you can ask them directly.
  • Every export we take is logged — when, how many people, and under which consent version. If you ask where your details went, we can answer.
  • Turning it off changes nothing else. Your plan, your downloads, your saved drops and your place on the campaign board are all unaffected.

If you would rather work with brands without handing your contact details to anyone, use the campaign board instead. There we approach you, the brand never receives your details, and nothing is shared unless you take the brief.

9. International Transfers

Because we use global service providers, your data may be processed outside your country. Where applicable, we implement safeguards to protect your data during cross-border transfers.

10. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your data occurs, we will take the steps required by applicable law.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described (account maintenance, legal compliance, legitimate business needs). When no longer required, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request deletion of personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
  • Obtain a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To exercise any right, email hello@unclip.in. We respond in line with applicable law and may need to verify your identity.

13. Children

Our Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the age applicable in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children without verifiable parental consent. If you believe we have, contact us to request deletion.

14. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. We will post the updated policy here with a revised “Last updated” date.
